Attending Coach Jim Sartoris' retirement party were (R-L), Dr. John Davitt, retired GCC Supt./President, Jim, Greg Osbourne Golf Coach, Tom Vessela, Jim's High School Coach and Alex Leon Sports Information Director.  The Guest of Honor with his Daughter Lisa, two Grandaughters and Assistant Trainor at the College, Claudia Alvarez. Jim was an All-American QB at Glendale and was a scholarship receipient to the University of Washington.  When former players get together with their coaches, memories are regenerated. R.L. Former outstanding GCC lineman Keith Knoop now Head Coach at Burroughs High, GCC Offensive Coordinator John Rome, GCC Head Basketball Coach Brian Beauchemen and former Vaquero player Tom Grady, all honoring the long tenure of the Coach Jim Sartoris.   Hoover High Head Football Coach Dennis Hughes on the right with his Asst. Coach Chuck Algiers, former teammates on the 75-76 Glendale Football Team dig in.   Tennis Coach Bob McKay(R) followed by Ethel Gallagher and Son and Daughter in Law Clay and Sue Gallagher ready to enjoy a super supper. Bob's 2006 and 2007 teams finished second in Conference and had a singles player who went undefeated this year.  Glendale College Women's Athletic Director Terry Coblintz sharing the buffett line with the Men's Athletic Director from Los Angeles Valley College who is a President/ Director of the Western State Conference. 013_12A.JPG
