Attending Coach Jim Sartoris' retirement party were (R-L), Dr. John Davitt, retired GCC Supt./President, Jim, Greg Osbourne Golf Coach, Tom Vessela, Jim's High School Coach and Alex Leon Sports Information Director.  Enjoying a great evening were (L.R)Glendale College Head Basketball Coach Brian Beauchmen and former GCC Athletes Dennis Shaw and Joe Sinclair with his wife Sharon.  Jim Sartoris' former football coach Tom Vessela, recalls some of the great feats that his quarterback accomplished while at Notre Dame H.S. He was also reminded of the future USC All-American that he cut from the squad in Mike Scarpace.    The Women's Athletic Director Terry Coblentz adds to the great things Jim Sartoris did for the College behind the scenes. Terry has been a big success as the first AD and Women's Chair.   002_23.JPG  Head Mens Tennis Coach Bob McKay talks of Jim Sartoris' dedication and why he signed on to take the tennis opening after a career with the Glendale City Parks and Recreation. Bob's teams finished second in Conference and fifth in state two years in a row. 013_12A.JPG
