001_24.JPG  Cristobal Alvarez, a freshman from John Burroughs High School in Burbank leads the pre-designed stretches prior to the Canyons game.  The Glendqle College pitchers in a warm up before the start of the game. Navad Poringer got the call as the starter for the Canyons game and went eight and one half innings giving up seven hits. He left the game when the score was tied at six.   Vaquero catcher Cristobal Alarez catching batting practice and infield practice before the start of the College of the Canyons game   Glendale College first baseman Taylor Smale from St.Francis High School waiting for the throw during the pre-game infield practice. Smale has had 212 chances at first base with 201 put outs, nine assists and ten double plays for a .991 fielding percentage.  The press section at Stengel Field wherein Estel Walker is interviewing the new head coach of the Vaquero golf team Greg Osbourne (foreground).
