001_24.JPG  Glendale pitcher Navad Poringer who started for the Vaqueros against the Cougars about to deliver a strike. Poringer pitched eight and a half innings giving up four runs and seven hits. He struck out five Cougars before being relieved in the top of the ninth.  A Glendale batter sees a Cougar pitch coming down the pike with two men on base. The Vaqueros stranded eight base runners during the game and were out hit by Canyons 14-7 but still managed to connect the dots to come up with the tenth inning homer to win the game.    021_4A.JPG   The Cougar pitcher releases the ball on its way to the strike zone. Andy Marquardt sees it coming, lines it up and crushes it to the right center field fence for a double that drove in three runs for the Vaqueros in the sixth inning. Marquardt later scored for a four run inning for Glendale.  Glendale College relief pitcher Matt Stone strikes out College of the Canyons clean up hitter in the top of the tenth for the first out of the inning. Stone gave up four hits in two innings and got credit for the win. 001_24.JPG
